Initiatives
EV chargers
Medas Operations Center is equipped with 2 electric vehicle chargers, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Solar panels
Medas Operations Centre and the areas next to the Covelo and Seixo Alvo tunnels benefit from the installation of 5 state-of-the-art solar power systems with approximately 100 kWp of total installed power, allowing for an annual reduction of 17 tonnes of CO2 emissions
LED lighting
We are replacing around 3.000 conventional lighting luminaires with LED units, reducing installed power capacity and energy consumption by approximately 50%.
New toll booths
and toll equipment
We are installing new automatic payment machines, ticketing devices, Via Verde antennas, vehicle pre-classification systems, information panels and license plate recognition cameras to reduce energy and offer more convenience to drivers.
